Folk Bitch Trio Gives Their Best Performance in “The Actor”

Folk Bitch Trio, who happen to be one of our favorite indie trios releases “The Actor.” Which focuses on the joint shared experience of the rise and fall of a relationship. The lyrics are extremely symbolic as you hear lines such as “Elastic love you’re holding me so tight. Just like a savior, until it doesn’t feel so right.” The relationship in this line, starting to feel suffocating usually spells the beginning of the end.

The music video used a very clever play on the title “The Actor.” The trio who makes up the band Folk Bitch Trio (Gracie Sinclair, Jeanie Pilkington and Heide Peverelle) are carrying auditions for their band.

Throughout the video, we see a variety of look-alikes on stage mimicking the lines of the song. This was extremely well thought out and humorous, given they are showing themselves as the ultimate “actor” within their song at the end. After a multitude of auditions the 3 finally take the stage, showing what they felt like was how the performance should have been all along.

“The Actor” is a soft-spoken poem turned into an indie endeavor and we are all th way here for it.
