phem is one of the most impressive new artists I’ve found lately in the way she effortlessly blends styles from 2000’s rock, to indie pop, to these uniquely-arranged electronic funk ballads. ‘flowers’ tells an intimate story of a love that’s dying through the metaphor of ‘flowers at a bed.’ phem’s songwriting is honestly so impressive, and this song just puts that on further display!
As if the uber contagious song wasn’t enough, these visuals bring it to life in such a fun way. From animated visual effects, to psychedelic appearances from a man-frog, it honestly feels like you’re in a dream while watching. Definitely give this one a watch if you haven’t!
