While it feels like the whole world has been waiting on Kanye West and Drake to release their new albums, there is a huge pocket of hip-hop fans that have been waiting patiently for the return of Kendrick Lamar. This weekend, hip-hop and music fans in general get to marinate in new Kendrick Lamar due to his collaboration with Baby Keem on “family ties”. The single is in your face and it features some of the best bars I have heard from both artists. “family ties” is Keem’s third release of 2021 and it only feels right that he called on his uncle to assist on such a ground-breaking record.

In the visual directed by Dave Free, Baby Keem is seen in scene 1 being grinded on in a vacant house while there is a visual of a mosh pit sitting in the background. As the video progresses, we see different visuals pop up in front of the mosh pit as if someone is streaming 5 videos all at once. The visual reaches its climax with the introduction of Kendrick and it does not let down. Overall, the video is just as iconic as the song and I cant stop watching it. With that being said, stream the visual above.

Lyrics That Stick:

“Yeah, Kanye changed his life

But me, I'm still an old school Gemini (Lil' bitch)”
