The music video for Destiny Roger’s new single opens up to a somber scene: she walks in the front door to a house that’s been torn apart. As she turns the corner into the kitchen, she sees her mom obviously having a breakdown and destroying things. Destiny walks up behind her and hugs her in a powerful and emotional shot.
The song then begins and follows suit, with Destiny talking about the importance of moving forward even through the tough times. She speaks as if she’s in the past, talking about how one day she will be successful (like she is now) and be able to help her mom pay the bills. The song is also crazy catchy, but the lyrics and emotion are what make this song a banger. It’s amazing to see where she is now, and you can’t help but be happy for her successes as you watch the video.
