On his new single, papichuloteej wants you to know that he is the perfect match and that you should drop your boyfriend. If you haven’t heard of the Las Vegas bred indie-rocker, you need to get acquainted quickly. Over the last year, papichuloteej has been releasing compelling music that meshes indie, rock, and hip-hop drumbeats all into one innovative sound. With his new single ‘boyfriend’, he talks about falling for someone that’s in a relationship, and he discusses why he is the better option. In addition to dropping the song, he also released a music video to accompany the song.

In the video, papichuloteej recruits DanielJordanK (Overcast) to direct a very fun and comical video that continues the narrative presented in the song. papichuloteej is seen dancing with an old-school boombox that brings back the nostalgia of the ’90s as he expresses his feelings to this girl. As the video transitions, we see him move from a park to a family dinner where he finally gets her boyfriend out of the picture and has a good time with the girl and her parents. Overall, the video is a great time, and it is one of my favorite music videos released this month.
