Big Sean is a name I’ve been wanting to see in New Music Friday for a while now. The talented Detroit native hasn’t released a full length album since he went on an absolute tear in 2017, but his latest single, “Harder Than My Demons” is a promising sign that he’s back to take over the rap game once again in 2020.
The single is, put simply, a bop. A team effort across writers and producers, this song’s Spotify credits show just how collaborative Big Sean is, willing to take multiple perspectives in order to make the best music. Mike WiLL Made-It’s production comes hand in hand with Jay John Henry, DJ Khalil, Teddy Walton, and Amaire Johnson who each do their part in ensuring the polished grunge of this trap banger.
With a crisp, visually intense visual to boot, it’s obvious this isn’t Big Sean’s first time vying for a top spot. Stay tuned for more from this seasoned rap star.
