For only his second release of the year, Chicago rapper Yung Divide combines soothing melodies and engrossing lyrics on the CM Beatz-co produced “Meant to Be.” YD’s Chicago roots are easily apparent as he borrows some of the best aspects of Chicago rappers in his verses.
I don’t know about you, but this feel-good, island bop is the kind of new single I’ve been waiting for. With a growing and fervent fanbase, Yung Divide is surely on record labels’ radars by this stage in his career. We can’t wait to see where he takes it from here.
