Witt Lowry - Changes (feat. Deion Reverie)
By: Caleb Johnson IG: CJSleeves
Witt Lowry is back, doing what he does best: hitting us right in the heart. He’s made a career off of penetratingly reflective and vulnerable lyrics, and it’s no different on ‘Changes’. The song opens up with a Macklemore-style chorus from Deion Reverie, raw and honest as it comes. But the highlight of the song comes during the verses.
Lowry touches on nostalgia, self-doubt, stress from his career, family problems and many more things as he spills out his heart. Staying true to his style, his second verse features what seems to be a conversation with himself, talking to himself about money, chasing his dreams, and motivating himself to do what he needs to do to achieve the things he’s always wanted. It’s a great motivator to be better tomorrow.
Lyrics That Stick:
“I’ve been fighting better days
But I’m finding everything changes”
