UMI - Open Up

At the beginning of a relationship, a lot of the time you’re on thin ice where if you make a mistake, the other person might lose interest in you. In her newest single, UMI writes about mistakes made, and what she needs to do to fix it.
‘Open Up’ is upbeat and fun, although it speaks on a serious topic. The groovy instrumental together with UMI’s beautiful voice gives me an early 2000’s Rihanna-type feel. The instrumental is beautifully done, with a lot going on but it all comes together very well. I think you need to ‘open up’ to the possibility of going and listening to the song.
