Teekay Othello -Twisted (feat. Fatuma)

22-year-old Calgary, Canada native, Teekay Othello, enters our pages with his first official release titled ‘Twisted’ featuring Fatuma. With this being his first release, Othello shows a lot of promise as an emerging R&B artist.
The song is a nod to early 2000s R&B, and it reminds me of something The Dream would have made back in his prime. The production is innovative and provides an upbeat feel that we don’t always get from R&B nowadays. With his buttery vocals and infectious harmonies, Othello creates a catchy slow burn record. Although Othello shines on this record, Fatuma gives the song the exact punch needed to keep the song interesting from start to finish. Fatuma’s vocals are soft and soulful, and the blend between both of their vocals create such a harmonious feel within the song. With this being my first time hearing from both artists, this record has me excited for more.
