Working as a writer, I get the opportunity to hear a lot of different music. I love hearing those songs that catch your attention so much that you end up already having it added to your playlist half way through your first listen. The ones that come to you at the perfect moment. Whether that moment be big or small, happy or sad, hopeful or nostalgic, it’s still something everyone feels. For me, the moment was small and simple, but as I sat on my balcony rocking my black sweat suit bumping Nate Good’s new song “Tidal Wave”, I felt like I found my new anthem.

For me, I hear plenty of songs I like, but what actually turns me into a fan is when an artist delivers that quality consistently. Nate Good has been more than consistent with his releases, and doesn’t fall short with “Tidal Wave”. His delivery and lyricism atop the smooth-sampled hip hop beat set the tone perfectly.
