The thing that always gets me about Motel 7’s music is the simple way it makes me feel. Whether it’s a feeling of excitement, nostalgia, or sadness, the songwriting and arrangements are so well done it’s impossible to not feel something.

Not to mention how dang relatable the lyrics on this hook are. Aside from the insanely catchy melodies, Motel 7 talks about coming back to things we don’t want to because they’re comfortable, and growth is hard sometimes. It’s a beautiful message and told in such a genuine, personable way. Check it out!

Lyrics That Stick:

“Always running back to the people

And places and things that I hate”
