Comprised of Fond du Lac natives Ben Baker and Michael Stensland, The Astronomers challenge the alt-pop space with their synthesis of unconventional elements in each track. They are unique, and they have this innate ability to craft singles that will have you captivated once you press play. After impressing us with their singles “Talk About It” & “Last Call”, they debut on our pages with their latest hit “fvck you be better” with Neuhaus.

“fvck you be better” is an anthemic single about speaking your mind and regaining your independence. We have all have felt used and have blamed ourselves in these moments of anguish. However, The Astronomers push the blame back on the guilty party on their electric new single. The single is a reflective piece that shines a light on the aftermath of being hurt by someone you care about. It shares the perspective of someone who has been really hurt, and it gives you insight on the emotional trauma caused from that situation. The anger and raw emotions can be felt, and I believe that’s what makes it easy to connect to. With a runtime under 3 minutes, The Astronomers waste no time getting their point across. The record is laced with warm sonics, engaging guitars, and a hook that will make you want to scream at the top of your lungs. Although this is my introduction to the band, I can say that I’m officially hooked. So, stream the single below!
