When it comes to finding a happy medium between Hip-Hop & R&B, Shaker is second to none. Although he is only at the tender age of 21, the Dubai-born artist has been making waves with his catchy and sensual music. Today, he comes to our pages with his latest offering ‘Temptations’.
The record has a futuristic R&B feel matched with lush ambient sounds. Sonically, the song is layered with pop-R&B drums that complement the melodic baseline. In addition to the production, Shaker’s buttery vocals shine. His ability to find unique ways to fit his voice in the pocket help create balance within the song. The element that stands out the most to me is the songwriting. Shaker writes very mature music and the way he discusses the temptations in his life are so eloquent. Overall, the song is a must-listen!
