Whether it’s diveliner’s insanely intimate voice, the poetically detailed and vulnerable songwriting, or just the overall innocent nature of the arrangements and storytelling, I felt a whole wave of emotions when I heard this one.

‘teacher’ relays such raw depictions of what seems to be diveliner’s past, offering a glimpse into his innermost feelings. The way he sings with such intention and clarity, while hints of voice cracks and emotional falsettos add to the vibe is both calming and tear-jerking. Give it a listen if you haven’t yet - you won’t regret it!

Lyrics That Stick:

I learned pretty young not to show your hand

Preacher preacher

You learned pretty young not to trust a man

Teacher teacher
