Hailing from Scarborough, Maine, rising duo, Strac, have been stuck in our heads with their latest hit “No Different”. Although this is the first we are covering their music, I can tell they have immense talent and an ability to craft infectious singles that will have you captivated on the first listen. Made up of two brothers, the duo effectively come to together to make exceptional music that I feel deserves to be heard.
Evan Stracqualursi, 18, is proficient in various musical instruments like the alto saxophone, French-horn, and piano. As a self taught pianist and beat maker, he loves to create intricately layered piano melodies for his beats. Also, the unique high note raspiness he achieves when singing has been turning heads. This combination of proficiency and uniqueness in his craft is a testament to his hard work over the past couple months.
Noah Stracqualursi, 21, a senior Data Science major at the University of Vermont has been an integral part of the Strac team. Musically, Noah has been taught in piano, guitar, and clarinet, but sees his talents shine through in lyricism. His catchy hooks paired with his ability to tell coherent stories in his work is an important skill.
“No Different” is perfect for the summertime and it is laced with lush melodies and a hook that is out of this world. In addition, the instrumentation and percussion selection were on point and I fell in love with the raspy vocals and production progression. Overall, this song is one that can’t be skipped so make sure to add to your playlists!
