I don’t know what’s in the water down there, but North Carolina has seen a surge of talented artists and groups emerge over the last 5 years. From the likes of the DaBaby, Glaive, ericdoa, and Tia Corine, a spotlight continues to shine over the state’s ability to establish national talent. Although those artists are great in their own right, North Carolina boy band, Weston Estate, is consistently proving that they are right up there with the biggest names in the industry. After listening to their single “Fresh Air”, I knew the group had talent. Now, two years later, they are back with a new hit titled “Stoked”.
Although most of their music operates in a more alternative sound, “Stoked” seems to be an outlier in their discography that brings an innovative look into the group’s versatility. The record has a nice groove, and it is laced with lush melodies, infectious lyrics, and a hook that will be stuck in your head well after the song is over. Overall, the song has to be one of their most impressive singles to date, and I literally want to dance every time I listen. With that being said, stream the song below and add it to your playlists!
Lyrics That Stick:
“I just wanna kiss you off the morphine
Then we go and dance inside the ocean”
