Over the last couple of years, Detroit has slowly solidified itself as the newest music hotbed. With artists such as Tee Grizzley and Sada Baby leading the new wave, their success has opened doors for emerging artists such as whiterosemoxie. Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Detroit, Michigan, the midwest rapper has shown a lot of promise with his ability to craft personable songs that lyrically stand out among others in his field. With his new single ‘sstars’, he flexes his versatility to rap and creates melodies that will have you humming along.
Although his music is often dark, ‘sstars’ is a more upbeat song that features warm production by Kato On The Track. We see moxie discuss having to make it from a bad place, and how although it's dark, he sees the light at the end of the tunnel. He wants people to know that he isn’t a product of his surroundings and that he is different from the typical hustlers from his city. The most intriguing thing about him is his ability to always craft a story in his music. For many artists, that is a hard thing to achieve. However, with his recent run of music, it doesn’t seem like he will be slowing down anytime soon. With that being said, if you are looking for a new hit to ride to, make sure to have this at maximum volume!
