Emerging London-based artist/producer, Henny Seear, is fresh to our pages with his new emotive offering ‘Sports Car’. Although the title may have you believe that this will be an upbeat song about getting rich, Henny Seear takes this song into a different direction with his smooth harmonies and melodic feel.
‘Sports Car’ is about delayed gratification, and it’s a reflective piece about making it to the top with those who were with you from the start. The production is mellow yet present, and the acoustic guitar provides a melody that gives the production enough catchiness to allow Seear to ride the beat effortlessly. ‘Sports Car’ is very relatable, and it seems the car is used as a distraction to take away from Henny’s shortcomings and addictions he deals with on a daily basis. Although he deals with life just like the rest of us, Henny’s infectious hook allows us to understand that his shortcomings won’t define him and that he will be successful. The way he humanizes himself will be something that listeners will appreciate him for. With this being his first release of the new year, we are keeping a close eye on this rising star.
