If you haven’t already heard, Nashville has a new genre-bending star and his name is Boon. After garnering some traction with his previous singles “Can’t Be Love” and “Name”, the emerging singer, songwriter, producer enters our pages with his new hit “Somebody Else”.
The single is an introspective record that is disguised as a feel-good pop hit due to the warm sonics and trap production. On “Somebody Else”, Boon crafts a record that explores the harsh reality of love and the story of someone not putting in enough effort and promising more. However, in the end, he tells listeners that this person is not going to change and the other person still has time to get away. Overall, the production is electrifying and this may be one of the best songs we have covered in a minute! Give it a listen below!
Lyrics That Stick:
“Girl, you know I’m toxic like what you’re smokin’
Maybe that’s why you won’t let go
Maybe your heart wouldn’t be so broken if you found somebody else”
