Upbeat keys taking the lead right off the bat, followed by larger-than-life Arden Jones vocals containing vulnerable songwriting? Yeah, this one drew me in from the beginning.
‘SMILE’ takes on new life throughout as Arden sings about trying to find happiness in the mundane moments of life - something we can all relate to. While the lyrics carry a more solemn, heartfelt persona, the production holds this hopeful, almost celebratory sound. It’s that emotional juxtaposition that really makes this one a stand-out for me.
