Hailing from Concord, North Carolina, rising singer/rapper, MoonLander, has been taking over with his ability to craft captivating singles that are laced with lush melodies, intoxicating choruses, and bright production. After initially catching our attention with his single “Good Night”, the rising artist has continued to impress. In 2021 alone, he performed at Breakaway Music Festival, Blended Festival Nashville & San Diego, and he even toured with BangerOfTheDay favorite Bryce Vine on his impressive US tour. Now, MoonLander returns with the announcement of his upcoming project Honey Bunny 2 that is set to release on December 31st. To hold fans over until then, he blessed us all with his new single “Sarcastic” that features New York hitmaker Skizzy Mars.
The single is smooth and laced with warm synths, a tender bassline, and great vocal delivery. Although the hook was a highlight for me, the meaning behind the song is also very interesting. The song dives into the nuances of trying to care too much when your significant other isn’t giving you the same energy. It is relatable to anyone that has been in a spot where you have someone who isn’t completely real. Even though MoonLander stole the show on this, Skizzy made sure to drop his signature flows that will be deeply appreciated for anyone that has followed his music since his “Pace” days. Overall, the song is one of our favorites from Moon and we are excited to hear the rest of the project. With that being said, check out the single below!
“She be talking back
So I guess I gotta break it”
