The moment Saba tweeted that he had ‘new music tonight,’ my day was instantly made. This dude solidified his spot as my favorite rapper when ‘CARE FOR ME’ dropped in 2018, and everything I hear from him since is just reaffirmation that he belongs there.
These two singles are nothing short of lyrical and musical perfection! Not to mention the super dope collaboration from Tobi Lou, another favorite of mine! Saba seemed to dig back into into his ‘Bucket List’ roots for some inspiration here, just the way he’s flowing and harmonizing over the beats. At the same though, it feels like we’re entering a new era for this young rapper who’s still adapting and molding his sound as we speak.
