perxeuz. takes us time traveling on his latest single, the Zach Crean-assisted “Don’t.” An angsty ballad to be sure, perxeuz. borrows from at least three decades to put together a full, complex sounding single. A strong hook and bridge make this song catchier than it seems at first, leading to a powerful, emotive finale.
Lost loves and scorned lovers are scattered throughout the lyrics to this melancholy bedroom pop single. The two artists each reflect on their pasts and come to a somewhat resolute sense of understanding on this record.
