19-year-old Kitchener, Ontario native, Ley Vara, is back on our pages to bless us with her new sensual hit titled ‘One Night’. After releasing ‘Not Enough Time’ in February and her feature with Jay Isaiah in March, Vara has been on a hot streak, and this new single seems to be some of her absolute best work.
‘One Night’ is a smooth slow jam that is laced with soothing R&B production. Vara provides a strong vocal performance on the record, and her melodies are perfectly layered in the song. Out of all the songs that she has made, this feels the most complete and the most her. At times, I even felt that the record was reminiscent of a more mature Ariana Grande due to the well-delivered tones and songwriting. Overall the song is great for late-night drives, and it needs to be in your playlists!
