When it comes to life, we all yearn for moments that allow us to fully live in the now. Although they may or may not come often, these moments are like a drug because we are left itching for the next event that compares to it. As a frequent night owl and club goer, I live for those nights where I can release all the stress, anxiety, and responsibilities that I keep within. This week, I came across a song from rising singer Kenny Sharp that I consider my new guilty pleasure. Although it may not be an alternate to going out, his latest single “Nights Like This” needs to be in your pre-game playlists.
“Nights Like This” is a groovy single that blends indie R&B with dyes of funk and blues. It’s catchy at its core, and Kenny shines with his exceptional range and overall vocal performance. His vocal tone is warm which allows the track to have more personality and flair as a whole. In addition, the production is laced with captivating drums, lush melodies, and a baseline that will have your head bobbing from start to finish. Here is what Kenny had to say:
