Neon Dreams - “Don’t Go Hating Me Now”

Nova Scotian pop duo Neon Dreams is back with their fourth single of the year, the 90’s pop adjacent “Don’t Go Hating Me Now.” The duo truly understands how to fill out every aspect of a track, really creating a full soundscape to transport you out of your mundane existence for just a moment.
“Don’t Go Hating Me Now” gives me hints of Blink-182, Imagine Dragons, and many more bands that all skirt around the magnetic center of the pop genre. This track is only the latest proof that Neon Dreams have their fingers on the pulse of what pop needs to be in 2020. We’re on the edge of our seat, wondering when the followup to 2019’s Sweet Dreams till Sunbeams.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Stone cold ejected, three dots blink
don't even message back, to your friends who you love
that you haven't seen in months it's cool
don't have to say much hold no grudges to your day ones”
