Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, Vietnamese alternative/hip-hop artist, DAAANG, has been captivating listeners with his innovative sound that explores rebel, spiritual, and childhood themes. In his terms, he’s about everything chaos. Although I’m relatively new to his sound, his new single “MOTOWN” that features Leon Zhang is a knockout hit.
The record was produced by BangerOfTheDay favorite Pilot Kid, and it’s an anthemic song about a fallout relationship rekindled by good friends and good company. DAANG and Leon float effortlessly over the smooth yet captivating sonics. In addition, their raw lyricism and lush melodies will have you glued in from start to finish. Overall, the emerging artists show they are ready for the mainstream and I can tell they have potential to be great.
