When it comes to versatility, Russ is second to none. His ability to craft infectious rap songs and compelling melodic music has made him a force within the music industry. With his new single ‘MISUNDERSTOOD’, he crafts a song about being misunderstood by his significant other. This is a feeling that is so relatable in the fact that we all have different images that people see us as.
Russ stresses the fact that this person only sees him the way they want to see him. With his very personable and sometimes out-spoken music, it’s easy to understand where he is coming from. People only want to see him in the image that fits their narrative, and he is drained from having to fit that narrative. The guitar-driven beat with his silky melodies paints the perfect picture of a man begging to be listened to. Although I’m a fan of his intoxicating rap records, his singing is just as infectious. Russ doesn’t skip a beat with this record, and he shows a more personable side that shows emotions that we don’t always get from him. ‘MISUNDERSTOOD’ is another quality record from the established artist, and we think you should give it a spin on those late-night drives!
