Marshmello - "Baggin'" (feat. 42 Dugg)
By: Phil Deutsch, IG: @pbdeutsch

EDM and Pop Culture staple Marshmello links with Detroit Hip-Hop veteran 42 Dugg on their latest single, “Baggin’.” It’s as great to see an established presence on the scene in Marshmello linking with a rising star - exposing their audiences to each other. As much as I’m sure 42 Dugg appreciates what the name Marshmello does for a record these days, but “Baggin’” tells the story of an artist trying to break down the walls between Hip-Hop and Electronic music.
Far from a typical Marshmello track, the mysterious artist’s latest single is firmly trap. It’s a crime to hear a song like this in quarantine - I’m sure it’ll go over very well the next time Marshmello’s fans are able to see him play live again. Keep your eyes out from more from Marshmello, I’m sure we’ll see more genre-blending innovations from him soon.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Ho, quit lying bitch you a fan, if it's you, I want the head
I fell back on sellin' meds, I'm supposed to be with Techs
Faced some fire, and the feds ask me, am I Dugg
Ask God, not at all, four million with all the cash”
