Lxst - “Upset”

20-year-old, Peoria-born rapper Lxst comes off the heels of his debut album with his latest single, “Upset.” The track, co-written by Lxst, Emre Sagiroglu, and Jochem Fluitsma, combines dance-hall and emo-rap with the help of Jordan Knows’ production.
The polished, in its feelings single does a great job getting the artists’ point across and making us see their point of view. Lxst has been on a roll lately, and his most recent project was incredibly well received. It’s great to see a budding artist follow up a success with more releases, both in terms of the consistency it shows and the humility it implies.
