Grant Schaffer - Lovely Town

After a short hiatus, Grant Schaffer is back better than ever with the release of his latest, ‘Lovely Town.’ And boy, is it a banger.
Grant was quickly making his name known in the bedroom pop scene with songs like ‘Seeing Colors’ and ‘Pineapple,’ but this song has an obvious added layer of alternative rock to it. While still maintaining the nostalgic, carefree sound that’s always present in his music, Grant takes ‘Lovely Town’ to a whole new level with the organically composed instrumentation and obvious attention to detail in the songwriting. From that first guitar lick to kick off the track, I was absolutely drawn in. Not to mention how beautifully poetic the writing is, incorporating an easy-to-follow story that’s both metaphorical and relatable.
I think this soft, indie rock sound is the perfect fit for an artist as versatile as Grant Schaffer. It’s smooth, natural, and crazy infectious. I’ll definitely have this song on repeat for awhile to come!
Lyrics That Stick:
“If you open up your eyes
And see the world for what it is
Then you’ll never want to leave
the second you walk in”
