Anees Opens Up About Life & His New Single ‘love is crazy’

My Tuesdays typically consist of watching television reruns, writing, and recording music. However, I was given the opportunity to sit down with emerging artist, Anees, to discuss life and his amazing journey in the music industry today. For those who don’t know of the beautiful soul, Anees is an artist that has been bubbling across the industry with his brand of music that radiates positive energy on everything he touches. When I got to sit down over a Zoom meeting with him, I was able to see an introspective and authentic side of him that will surely make you a fan.
Anees is an artist that has an aura that is unmatched, and his music has captivated everyone that listens. When talking with him, we discussed humble beginnings, marriage, and his new single ‘love is crazy’.
Currently residing in Washington, D.C., music wasn’t always the forefront of the emerging artist’s life. While many don’t know this, Anees graduated from college with a degree in law, and he surely realized after his graduation that his calling was music. With over 13 years of experience rapping, the late 20-year-old was fixated on becoming a music artist. After putting his talents to work and having a positive influence from his friends, he began to take all his thoughts and pen them into the honest records we are able to listen to today. One thing that must be said about him is that he lives and breathes music, and his songs are a direct correlation to what he lives. This is beautiful in that fact that we don’t always get the face value of artists with all the noise that saturates the industry, but Anees is an artist that will stand the test of time. He is witty, articulate, and he has a knack for finding ways to express himself over social media. Regardless of his age, Anees is showing that there is no age limit on success, and he makes it clear that being your authentic self is worth it in the long haul.
In his new record ‘love is crazy’, his inspiration comes from real-life experiences he dealt with his wife. Anees told me how he was willing to go the distance for his girl, and that after time, he was able to secure the love of his life. The record is sonically pleasing and we get to see him flaunt his amazing vocal range as he discusses the nuances of a man who is crazy in a good way about his significant other. While the feelings aren’t reciprocated at first, he shows the beauty of persistence and how his lover was able to grow that same attraction he has towards her. When talking with him, it was amazing to see the glow he displayed when talking about how his wife gives him purpose and that following the course is essential to finding yourself as a lover and an artist.
