Internet Rapper Koshi has been navigating the line between Hip-Hop and R&B for about a year now with his melodic, rhythmic singles. An EP drop earlier this year hasn’t stopped the young talent from unleashing single after single, only hinting at the depths he has in his vault. Constantly switching flows over this woodpecker-produced, Travi$ Scott-reminiscent, roomy beat.
The song in question, “Helpless,” is a brutally honest look, both at the artist’s emotional state as well as his present musical inclinations. He ensures engagement on this track by making sure to never let listeners feel comfortable, pulling the rug out from under them. He challenges expectations constantly on the short track, making a case for himself as a real visionary. Koshi has his finger on the pulse.
