Graduating from his SoundCloud origins, rising artist, Kiddo Dust, may be the hidden gem that we have been waiting to discover. Hailing originally from Norwalk, CT, Kiddo Dust has spent the last 18 months crafting a sound that we consider to be very captivating at face value. With success from singles such as “All Good” & “On Me”, the emerging artist has seen a meteoric jump in notoriety within the industry. Now, Kiddo Dust has returned with his latest single “for worse or for better", and it may be the best thing I have heard all week.

The record is the lead single from his upcoming EP “Sooner or Later”, and it has us all excited. Sonically, the track is laced with enticing progressions, lush melodies, and an exceptional vocal performance. I’m a huge fan of where music is as a whole, and I think Kiddo does a great job of bridging multiple genres into one perfect sound. As for the meaning of the song, “for worse or for better” discusses the heavy sensations of emotional withdrawal that inevitably come coupled with unrequited love. The song sees Kiddo alchemizing the perfect amount of autotune into an addictive hook - inviting nothing but compassion and catharsis - as Kiddo attempts to mitigate his anxieties in real time. Overall, this is a great introduction for what we can expect from the upcoming EP so make sure to add this song to your playlists and vibe out.
