A Message From Downtown Kayoto: ‘Karma Called’

Downtown Kayoto has this certain way of making me feel young again, like I’m on top of the world with no problems or responsibilities, with every release. His latest, ‘Karma Called’ carries an extra layer of carefree energy with its indie rock, windows-down type of sound.
While this song has such a unique build to it, the way it makes me feel is reminiscent of the first time I heard ‘3 Nights’ by Dominic Fike. The bouncy nature to the production and emotional drive in the vocals make it such a stand-out sonically. Not to mention that subtle switch-up in groove near the end, as Kayoto comes with this attention-grabbing flow and heightened vocal intensity. His versatility falls short of no one, and his clear knack for songwriting is ever so apparent throughout.
This one will be on repeat for awhile. It feels like the perfect autumn track to take in what’s left of this warm weather and be outside. Check it out if you haven’t!
Lyrics That Stick:
“I don’t even close my eyes
I can’t even feel you
When you are laying by my side”
