‘If You Wanted’ to, you could have this song on repeat the rest of 2020 and not get sick of it! Jake Scott came correct with this incredibly detailed, personal, and stadium-worthy track that just might be the one bright spot of this year! (In addition to the other songs he’s released, that is)
The way it builds from the start is so cool. From the panning guitar intro, to the first verse and leading into the hook, it’s the perfect ramp up of emotion and energy. Not to mention how well Jake Scott sets up the storyline with his high-level songwriting right off the bat here. It’s a really cool thing to listen to and be able to connect on a personal level like that. Give this one a listen ASAP!
