Sophia Alexa Finds Her Great Escape In Her New Single “Hit & Run”

Under the hundreds of submissions we are sent weekly, we were recently blessed to find a hidden gem with rising newcomer Sophia Alexa. After catching our attention with her debut single “House Of Cards”, the London-based singer-songwriter has broken her silence with her enchanting new single “Hit & Run”.
The single is a dream-pop masterclass backed by lush melodies, vivid imagery, and raw lyricism that will pull at your heartstrings from start to finish. “Hit & Run” is an escape for anyone that listens to it’s lyrics, and I feel like I may have found the song of the year with this one.
Alexa mentions that she wrote the song because she found herself wanting to escape every time she got close to someone. She was afraid of feeling attached or trapped even if the relationship was good for her, and I think that is a real feeling that many go through. However, the songs build up and her vulnerability help to show how she broke through that feeling. Overall, this is one of my favorite songs of the year so make sure to stream it below!
