Anytime I see a new release from Sarah Hemi, it’s an automatic day-maker. Usually championing in the category of soft RnB, emotional ballads, this latest jam puts her versatility on full display. ‘History’ is a fun, high-energy soundtrack that’s sure to be on repeat for me this summer.
How can you not sing along to that hook? Sarah’s effortlessly-layered vocals and harmonies create an intensely warm, smile-worthy sound throughout. And when she hits those falsetto runs towards the end? Wow. Not to mention her intimate songwriting that seems to always shine in such a detailed, personal way.
