Brent Faiyaz & DJ Dahi - Gravity (feat. Tyler, the Creator)

After numerous underwhelming collaborations in 2020, I didn’t know what to expect when I first listened to the new Brent Faiyaz and Tyler, the Creator single. Collaboration has always been a touchy subject, but when it feels like a mutual artistic experience, they are great. With their new single ‘Gravity’, the artists give us everything we never knew we needed and more on the Dj Dahi production.
Dj Dahi-whose credits range from Drake to Mac Miller- produces a hard-hitting soulful record that allows both artists to exceed expectations. Brent’s vocals are smooth, and his cadence is infectious enough to get anyone to sing along. As for Tyler, his premier rapping does an incredible job at meshing and creating a perfect offset to Brent’s singing. This isn’t just a love song, this a song about staying down for someone regardless of their star power. Although this is the first time we have seen Brent and Tyler collaborate, we can only hope that this happens again.
