When you think of Canada’s music scene, Toronto is always the first that comes to mind. However, 2,127 miles outside of the illustrious city is Brampton, Ontario. Although it doesn’t get the same shine as Toronto, it is the birthplace of rising singer/rapper K. Forest. K. Forest has been bubbling the last couple of years with his intoxicating songs and buttery vocals. Today, he reaches our pages with his newest offering ‘For Keeps’ that features Kelvyn Colt.
The record is a guitar-driven anthem, that is full of lush melodies matched with a smooth modern R&B feel. On the single, we see both artists show their versatility by transitioning from rapping to singing. In addition to the stellar production, the chemistry between the two artists is sublime, and K. Forest’s ability to bring Kelvyn into his sound makes for a stunning record. Overall, ‘For Keeps’ is a must listen!
