It’s always refreshing hearing music that challenges any set genre you’ve heard before. That’s exactly the feeling I get any time I listen to a Clubhouse song. ‘Flipside’ quite literally flips this seemingly stripped record into a cinematic, dreamy masterpiece.
From a production standpoint, I love how the unique textures and undertones come together in a diverse way to create this spacious, yet intimate sound. Heartfelt vocals over top tell the story of being in a funk mentally - something we can all relate to! Play this one next time you’re cruising around with the windows down, or simply in need of a pick-me-up. You won’t be disappointed.
