This new Sarah Hemi song is seriously on a whole new level, but knowing her, we just ‘Expected It!’ From the soft vocal tones to the gorgeously intimate songwriting, it’s safe to say you’re going to want to grab a tissue box before hitting play!
While this song is super vulnerable and tells a story of dissonance existing in a relationship, I couldn’t help but feel this calm feeling over me while listening. It’s that juxtaposition between sad and hopeful emotions translating that really makes Sarah’s songwriting stand out!
On top of the drawing words, Mondo Loops provides a super cozy, stripped-back production to pave the way for Sarah’s effortlessly soft voice to glide over top. All in all, there are so many aspects that make this song great, so go listen for yourself if you haven’t yet!
