17-year-old singer and songwriter, LAKE!, shines on his debut single titled ‘Dead Roses’. ‘Dead Roses’ is an intoxicating single, and it is only a glimpse of the talent that he has. His ability to craft compelling songs and make infectious singles is the reason he’s worth keeping an eye on.
With that being said, ‘Dead Roses’ is genre-less, and it floats between hip-hop and alternative while also having pop undertones. The track packs a punch, and the 808s mixed with his refreshing melodies will have you belting from start to finish. The song is emotional, and LAKE!’s ability to switch cadences and provide mesmerizing runs will have you in a trance. Although this is his first release, his ability to make personable songs that relate to everyday people will allow him to stand out in this ever-changing music landscape.
