Just when I was wondering who was going to release a song for my lazy Sundays, Zachary Knowles comes through with a song that embraces the joy of doing nothing. With his new single ‘dancing in the kitchen’, Knowles pens an upbeat record that explores wanting to be with a significant other without the thought of having to make plans.
In ‘dancing in the kitchen’, Knowles discusses the feeling of wasting an entire day, and he makes it fun with its romantic twist. His vocals are smooth and the track’s production is layered to perfection. In addition to the intoxicating vocal performance, the lyrics are relatable to everyone that has survived this last year. With that being said, the record comes at a perfect time due to the fact that we have all been on some sort of lockdown since the beginning of the pandemic. If you have been waiting for an anthem that explores love and the positives of the pandemic, this will be a song you will want on repeat.
