DAISY WORLD- “ur soggy”

If you enjoy discovering refreshing new artists, then look no further. After spending weeks searching for an artist that I believed to have the “IT” factor, I came across DAISY WORLD. For those of you who live under a rock, DAISY WORLD is the solo project of multi-disciplinary LA-based artist Daisy Hamel-Buffa. Growing up under a musical spell cast equal parts by Carole King & Snoop Dogg, Daisy is a featured artist on Steve Lacy's Apollo XXI and Tyler, The Creator's CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST album. Now, she enters our pages with her latest single “ur soggy”. I love the record’s nostalgic feel, and the vocals are exceptional. Daisy perfectly crystallizes the dizzying feeling of unease amidst a tumultuous relationship. This is a song that definitely deserves its flowers!

Ava Earl- “Too Much”

Have you ever felt like you were deemed ‘too much’ by your peers? Although this can be a good thing, personally, ‘too much’ has always had a negative connotation. However, rising singer-songwriter Ava Earl flips the script on this notion. On her introspective offering “Too Much”, Earl pens a record about being unapologetically herself and embracing who she is. The record is a courageous & daring, and it blends elements of alt-pop & organic lo-fi folk. For me, “To Much” is about self-acceptance and finding your own peace. It is a lovely record that captures the thoughts and feelings of a new generation.

Nicholas Cloud- “DON’T TRIP”

BangerOfTheDay favorite, Nicholas Cloud, has been one of the most polarizing artists over the past year. Relying heavily on melodic guitars, his records blend alt-pop and atmospheric hip-hop into one beautifully crafted sound. His ability to connect and be ever so present allow his grounded songwriting to shine over his space production. Now, he returns to our pages with his latest single “DON’T TRIP”. The record is melancholic single that features Cloud’s agile vocals over atmospheric drums & 808s. In addition, the acoustic guitar riffs added a vibrant touch to help carry the song. Over the song’s duration, Cloud discusses mental health, and he displays his resilience to move past his problems. The record is liberating, and I have had it on repeat for hours. So, stream the record below!

Walter The Producer- “MUST BE THE AIR”

If you are a fan of artists like Dominic Fike, Steve Lacy, & Still Woozy, then you will love the mesmerizing sound of Walter The Producer. Although he’s only 20-years-old, he has created an infectious sound that blends elements of indie-rock, lo-fi disco pop, & alt-R&B. His music is daring, and there’s this warmth I get from each record he releases. If I could characterize his sound with one word, I would say “home”. The records are often colorful, but they always have this genuine touch that makes his listeners feel comfortable. I would say that listening to him is therapeutic for me. After impressing me with his singles “Morning Routine” & “Velma”, he returns to our pages with his latest single “MUST BE THE AIR”. “MUST BE AIR” is a nostalgic record that is perfect for late-night drives & sunsets at the beach. It’s laced with warm vocals, captivating guitar riffs, and harmonies that will give you goosebumps. Overall, this is one my favorite songs of the week.

Tinsley- “Just Three Words”

Tinsley is a rising singer-songwriter that has taken the industry by storm. If I could describe her sound, I would say it’s enchanting, relatable, and intoxicating. She is the breath of fresh air that the industry needs. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Taylor Swift, Maggie Rogers, & The Aces, she has crafted a sound that is both genuine and relatable. Now, she arrives on our pages with her anthemic new single “Just Three Words”. If you have ever been in a relationship, you can understand the power of the three words “I love you”. It’s something that shouldn’t be used unless you mean it, and it can hurt if it’s not reciprocated. On her single, Tinsley questions if it’s better to wait until the other person says it first or face the potential rejection of hearing nothing. This internal battle is the subject matter of her up-tempo hit. Garnering attention from multiple outlets, “Just Three Words” continues to be an industry favorite. So, stream the record below!

laye- “you’re my achilles heel”

Building up more hype for her new EP, emerging singer-songwriter, laye, returns with her groundbreaking single “you’re my achilles heel”. The track was written by laye, Gray Hawken (Jack Harlow, Alessia Cara, Tamia) and Rachel West (Young Thug, Machine Gun Kelly, WILLOW) and continues laye’s foray into the darker aspects of indie pop. “you’re my achilles heel” is an introspective single that further showcases laye’s versatility and overall ability. Stream the record below & check out her new EP!
