Barely Trev ft. Abstract- “Nervous”
Barely Trev is an artist that wears many hats. He is a singer, songwriter, music blogger, and tour merch guy. His talents aren’t limited to anything. Although he is known for many things, you can’t overlook his musical talent. Over the past few years, Trev has continued to create sensible records that comfort the mind and soul. Now, he is back with his latest single "Nervous" that features one of my personal favorite rappers, Abstract. The song is a summer indie rock anthem laced with great instrumentation and a fiery hook! Listen below!
Boi Angel- “Memories”
Hailing from Queens, New York, emerging singer-songwriter, Boi Angel, debuts on our pages with his iconic new single "Memories". The record is a trap-soul gem with pop-rap undertones. With its introspective nature, the record taps into the feeling of reminiscing past relationships. Overall, this is one of my favorite finds of the month, and you may have heard it playing at Game 4 of the NBA Finals in Miami.
Autumn Boy- “Clover”
There is a beauty in finding innovative records that push the boundaries of what we are used to sonically. I yearn to find artists that are taking chances with their craft, because that is what being an artist is all about. It’s about speaking your own truth through art. For me, BOTD newcomer, Autumn Boy, does that on his well-crafted new single “Clover”. With influences of Kevin Abstract, Junior Varsity, and Brockhampton bleeding through his sound, Autumn Boy shines with his relatable lyrics and captivating sonics. Vibe to the single below!
manny momo- “It gets better”
If you could blend Two Door Cinema Club, The Temper Trap, and Gus Dapperton into one singular artist, you would get rising singer manny momo. Although I’m very new to the budding artist, he has impressed me with his latest single “It gets better”. The record is an indie-pop masterclass laced with lush melodies, intoxicating harmonies, and a hook that will have you yearning for better days. This is a great add for your summer playlists.
Alex Slay- “LBD”
Unless you live under a rock, then you probably have heard of the name Alex Slay. If you are still scratching your head, he is one of the hottest R&B acts coming out of Nashville. Although his roots trace back to Florida, the singer recently left the life of a cruise ship singer to make it as a solo act. Now, he makes his BOTD debut with his groovy new single "LBD". The record is an enchanting single that’ll make you want to fall in love. With elements of Neo-Soul, R&B, & Jazz Pop tones, Alex can’t do any wrong on this single. His vocals are exceptional and he knocks this record out of the park.
