July - Antisocial

I think just about everyone can relate to feeling ‘Antisocial’ lately, especially after such a long quarantine. In his latest, July beautifully depicts that reality and the honest impact this feeling has had on him.
I’m a sucker for some uber-detailed, randomly significant songwriting. Right off the bat, July sets up the scene in this way through his personal storytelling style of writing. It really draws the listener in, and if the words weren’t enough, that beat drop on the hook is absolutely wonderful. It feels like a bittersweet celebration that carries a carefree sense along with it. Check this song out if you haven’t yet - you won’t regret it!
Lyrics That Stick:
“I’ve been so antisocial
So In other words
I’m on the phone with my mom
for like 20 minutes twice a week”
