Hunter Powell - Alone

With an influx of DIY artists in the current music soundscape, it has become normal to see artists that can sing as well as produce their own tracks. Today, we present to you an emerging artist that goes by the name Hunter Powell. Hunter is versatile in many ways, and his ability to sing and produce brings a personal and genuine touch to his sound. In his new single ‘Alone’, Powell provides a vocal performance that will pull at your heartstrings,
In ‘Alone’, Powell expresses the need to have someone to confide in because he is tired of living life on his own. His vocals are smooth but have a raspy feel at times that make the lyrics hit so much harder. The song is a confessional track that meshes lush vocals and elegant pop and R&B production into one beautiful sound. Overall, this has to be my favorite song of the year.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Said I need a sidekick
I don’t need no side chick
Probably should dive in
And head to the deep end”
