637godwin - Simon

637godwin is back with another song, but this one is different than the rest. Instead of 637godwin’s usual depressed sound, on this one we hear more of just a vulnerable take. It’s honest, melodic, and obviously a banger.
The track is called ‘Simon’, and is based around a guitar loop. Different than the majority of his catalogue, this one doesn’t really have super hard hitting 808’s or crazy drum packs, but the focus is just as much on what he’s saying as how he says it. He speaks to hate and doubts that he’s received, and what he does to overcome the adversity that he faces. I’m not sure where the title of the song comes from, but my thought is that 637godwin makes his own path, and doesn’t follow what ‘Simon’ says.
Lyrics That Stick:
“Crank your speakers, blast them
Remember when they took me for a joke back then?”
